The event was widely observed across Wisconsin, Michigan, and Illinois, with numerous eyewitnesses capturing videos and photos of the fiery spectacle. The American Meteor Society received over 62 reports of the fireball, highlighting the widespread visibility of the event.
Astronomer Jonathan McDowell confirmed that the debris was indeed from Starlink 5693, which had been gradually losing altitude since December 6th.
